May 2         19th Annual AER Spring Car Show @ AER in Carrollton. All proceeds benefit the Helen McGraw KidneyTexas, Inc. Open to all makes and models cars, trucks, and motorcycles. May 9         4th Annual Miller Grove Spring Fling Car and Motorcycle Show at the Miller Grove High School in Miller Grove, TX. Registration from 9:00am - 12:00, show from 12:00 - 4:00pm, awards at 4:00pm.  Rain date is May 24. Dash plaques to first 150 entrants. The Miller Grove Volunteer Fire Dept. is raising money to finish building our new station that can house a modern Fire Pumper and this year's show will put us over the top. We especially want everyone to come see the Station under construction. Your help is greatly needed and appreciated. This will be a first class show with 115 beautiful trophies that range from 2-6 ft. tall. There are 33 classes with at least 3 places per class. There will also be the Peoples Choice Trophy over 6 ft. tall. Judging will be done by participant 5 ball system. All Best-of-Show Awards will be done by outside independent teams to assure a fair show. Judges will score on Quality, Cleanliness and Detail. Last year we gave away approx. $5,000 in door prizes. Car Classes: Pre-50's Car, 50's Car, 60's Car, 70's Car, 80/90's Car, 2000's Car, Open Car, Mustang, T-Bucket/Roadster, Mopar, Street Rod(Steel), Street Rod (Fiber), Import Car, Muscle Car, Pony Car, Convertible, 55-57 Class, PT Cruiser,53-83 Corvette, 84-09 Corvette, Camaro/Firebird. Truck Classes: Pre-50's Truck, 50/60's Truck, 70/80's Truck, 90/2000's Truck, Open Truck Motorcycle Classes: Street Stock (3 Minor Mods), Custom Bike, Sportster, Touring Bike, Import Bike. Specialty Classes: Special Interest ( Race Cars, Dragsters, etc.), Under-Construction Car/Truck. Best-of-Show Awards: Best Car, Best Truck, Best Org. Car, Best Org. Truck, Best Mod. Car, Best Mod. Truck, Best Chevy, Best GM, Best Ford, Best Mopar, Best-of-the-Rest, Best Motorcycle, Best Club Participation, Chief's Choice, Firefighter's Choice and last but not least The Peoples Choice Trophy (Over 6 Foot Tall). This year we will have great door prizes including a Craftsman 3 tier 15 drawer Roll-Away Tool Chest filled with a Craftsman 265 piece Tool Set along with other great prizes. Our participants all agree we have the Greatest Bar-B-Q and food on site at the fairest prices and this year it will all be available in an air-conditioned facility for your comfort. 50/50 Pot, Auction, A D spinning 50's, 60's & 70's on the PA System, games and contests, Bounce houses, Dunking Booth and Pinball and Video Games for the kids. May 17       The Metro East Division of the Home Builders Association and Rods and Relics of Dallas are planning the 4th Annual "Cars for CASA" Show on Sunday, May 17th.  Location: The Harbor (Shoreline @ Summer Lee) in Rockwall, Texas. (I-30 to Horizon - Exit Horizon and follow the signs (Big parking lot beside the Cinemark Theater).  Numerous Class Awards will be presented for Cars (21), Trucks (5) and Motorcycle(6).  Also, Best of Show Car, Truck, Motorcycle and RatRod, Best Engine, Best Graphics, Best Paint, Best Interior, Club Participation and Best HBA Members Award.  100% of the proceeds go to "LONE STAR CASA, INC". There will be LOTS of door prizes, great music and as you can see LOTS of Awards.  Free T-Shirt and dash plaque for the first 50 entries.  You have helped raise thousands of dollars in the past for CASA and we look forward to this years show being even bigger and better.  The mission of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is to speak for the best interest of abused and neglected children in the courts.
